ABOUT ME
Having always had a passion for art and textiles, and a career in teaching, I am now creating my own block printed designs. I design and carve original printing blocks featuring plants, animals and objects from the natural world. My mission is to provide my clients with a totally original and unique product designed with your colours and your interests and style in mind providing a beautiful, bespoke solution.
HOW TO ORDER A BESPOKE ITEM
Get in touch and, depending on your location, I can come and visit you to match colours and style to suit your home. Alternatively we can chat over a Zoom call with photos for inspiration or you can email me with your requirements. I can print tea towels, tablecloths, a set of napkins or fabric for a headboard or even a pair of pyjamas in whatever shade or block print you desire.
BLOCK PRINT WORKSHOPS
Come and learn how to block print and spend a day in my studio in the Hampshire countryside, where you can learn how to make repeat patterns and make your own design using my blocks. The day begins at 10am and a simple homemade lunch will be included. Please either email me or register your interest via my website. NEXT WORKSHOP DATE : Wednesday 10th December.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
In an exciting collaboration, Beyond the Barn and Bespoke Block Printing are offering a Creative Christmas Workshop on Wednesday 11th December 2024, from 10am till 3.30pm at Dunley Manor, nr Whitchurch RG28 7PU.
During the day you’ll spend some time with Bonky learning the tips, techniques and tricks of block printing. You’ll have the chance to try out a range of different blocks, some of which have been sourced from India and some are blocks that she has carved herself. You will design your own bespoke tea towel, Tote bag or cushion cover and also have the chance to print Christmas wrapping paper and gift tags.
You will also learn from Jo and Ruth, the art of wreath making using locally sourced foliage and flowers. They will guide you through the process of building a design that is unique to you and will provide everything you need. You will create your own fresh Christmas wreath ready to take pride of place on your door or tabletop.
Fuelled with plenty of tea, coffee and cakes, we’ll also provide a delicious lunch made by Lara (@lazcooking) to keep you going.
