Hidden in 35 acres of private parkland in the beautiful Dordogne–Lot region, Château de Lamostonie is a truly special place for bringing generations together.
Approached by a long private drive, the château offers complete privacy, tranquillity and space to celebrate life’s important moments.
Perfect for milestone birthdays, anniversaries and family reunions, the château sleeps 20 guests in the main house, with a further 4 in the charming Pigeonnier cottage. Six en-suite doubles, additional single rooms and generous family suites provide flexible accommodation for all ages. A lift gives easy access to upper floors, making the house welcoming for grandparents as well as children.
Heated Pool, Tennis & Long Summer Evenings - The 15m x 6m heated swimming pool is the heart of summer days, surrounded by sun loungers and sweeping lawns. A flood-lit tennis court keeps teenagers and adults entertained into the evening.
As the sun sets, gather on the barbecue terrace for long, relaxed dinners under the warm southern sky. The large barbecue and outdoor seating areas make al fresco meals effortless and memorable.
Music, Celebration & Character - Inside, elegant reception rooms create a wonderful atmosphere for shared meals and celebrations. The grand dining room, with its fireplace and long table, is perfect for candlelit dinners.
Two grand pianos, one in the music room and one in the oak-beamed hall, add a rare and magical touch. Whether you have a serious pianist in the family or simply enjoy music after supper, Lamostonie offers something truly unique. A tiny private chapel in the tower adds yet another note of charm and history.
Modern comforts include fully equipped kitchens, WiFi throughout and maid service three mornings per week.
Discover South West France - The château is ideally located for exploring some of France’s most beautiful villages and landscapes. Wander the dramatic cliffside village of Rocamadour, explore the medieval streets of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, browse the colourful markets of Cahors, or descend into the spectacular underground river at Gouffre de Padirac.
Enjoy vineyard visits, canoeing on the Dordogne, prehistoric caves, walnut groves and renowned local gastronomy including truffles, foie gras and Cahors wines. The region feels wonderfully unspoilt yet is easily reached from Brive, Bergerac or Toulouse airports.
