LUXURIOUS PRIVATE NORWEGIAN MOUNTAIN CHALET
Experience the real “hygge” in a Norwegian mountain chalet with an open fireplace and a view to take your breath away, based in one of the top mountain resorts in Norway – Hafjell near Lillehammer and only 2.5 hrs by car from Oslo airport.
This personal and private chalet comfortably sleeps 6 people but can accommodate up to 10.
It has stunning views from a 180 degree southwest facing veranda and is simply a mecca for those who enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking or biking in the mountains. In the winter it has ski-in/ski-out.

DOWNSTAIRS:
The kitchen/living-room/dining-room is open plan with a fireplace and all the mod cons (TV, CD/DVDs, Sonos, and Apple TV with Wi-Fi throughout the chalet). And finally, a quiet private study/reading room.

UPSTAIRS:
There is the traditional charming Scandinavian loft (in Norway these are called 'Hems') with two double bedrooms that can accommodate four people, one with a height restriction.
OUTSIDE:
You have stunning views from a 180 degree southwest facing veranda and is simply a mecca for those who enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing in the winter and hiking, biking, cycling and fishing in the summer/autumn.

LOCAL INFORMATION:
There is a supermarket on top of the mountain only 5 minutes by car or a 20 minute walk which is open daily. This area, called Gaia, also has your bike rental. Another 10 minutes away further up the mountain, you have Pellestova with a café/pizza restaurant, a restaurant and a fine dining restaurant. The charming Lillehammer town is a 20 minute drive away where you have a lovely town with multiple shops, restaurants and cafes. You will also find Strandtorget, an in-door shopping centre with a supermarket.
The local village in the valley called Gudbrabdsdalen is is called Øyer and is at the bottom of the Hafjell mountain and only 10 minutes from the chalet. There you have three supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, a chemist and a doctor’s surgery. The high seasons in Norway are October, Christmas/New Year to Easter.

Christmas and New Year combined : £7,000
Winter break in February: £3,900
There is a clean-out fee of £250.
