What makes us different
Highfield and Brookham Schools are a Nursery, Pre-prep and Prep School, for boys and girls aged 2-13 years, located in Liphook, Hampshire. Situated in 175 acres of glorious grounds in the South Downs National Park, on the borders of Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey yet just an hour from London.
We celebrate our genuine independence. We really are the only true day and boarding pre-prep and prep school for many miles, preparing children for the very best national boarding and top local day schools. Our strong sense of togetherness and welcoming family-feel stems from our independence and not being answerable to a senior school or trust allows us to follow our own path. We work together with our families to ensure that their children are receiving the best possible education.
Kindness and individuality are at the centre of everything we do. Forming relationships is a distinctive human capability which sets children up for success in the future. Our children value how supportive our teachers and staff are and this helps them to feel secure, to be themselves and enables them to form real friendships. We place great importance on children understanding their place in the wider community. Looking beyond the school grounds children are encouraged to fully engage with the wider world and to find the part that they will play in society and as global citizens.
Through our engaging curriculum, specialist teaching and remarkable facilities, we prepare children for the move up to Senior School and beyond. We have a flawless record of securing entrance to a child’s chosen Senior School whether that is at 11+ or 13+. Furthermore, our scholarship success is evidence of our outstanding academic ambition. Our children have been awarded an impressive 91 scholarships over the past six years. The scholarships achieved are to a diverse range of top senior schools including Wellington College, Cranleigh School, Radley College, Marlborough College and Charterhouse and include huge variety of scholarships ranging from academic and art to sports and music.
