We chose the school as it was the stand out boys only prep school in southern UK, with an unrivalled track record of gaining successful applications to the best public schools in the country. Summer Fields finds the perfect blend of high academic standards at all times, with superb sporting facilities and coaching, leading to excellent sporting progress and healthy fit boys. The school is also unapologetically competitive in the attitude to sporting outcomes, which rubs off well on the boys.
The pastoral care is simply excellent, whether on a general basis or on a more individually tailored level we really feel the care and attention the school gives each child is first rate.
The culture in the school is unrivalled, and this positive and progressive culture runs through the Head, the masters and on to the pupils themselves, and this has given our son the perfect start in his schooling life.

Opened in 1864, Summer Fields is recognised as one of the country’s pre-eminent boys’ Prep schools, adding a pre-prep in September 2018.
Summer Fields feeds top independent schools winning numerous academic scholarships and awards, including sports and music to schools including: Eton, Harrow, Oundle, Radley, Rugby, Stowe and Winchester since 2016.
Fantastic facilities including an outward bounds camp, a 9-hole golf course and indoor and outdoor swimming pools set in 70 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of North Oxford.
Sports highlights: National Prep Schools’ Eton Fives and Squash champions, U11 National 7-aside cricket finalists, IAPS U13 regional 6-aside winners.
