Head's Up
We are a traditional termly based preschool for children aged 2 – 5 years with holiday clubs during some term breaks.
Our aim is to engage children’s ability to learn in a fun and stimulating environment. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum along with a forest school style with plenty of learning outdoors, whatever the weather!
We feed the key schools in the local area such as Thomas’s Prep, Broomwood Hall, Belleville, Honeywell, Eaton House, Parkgate & Dolphin.
With fully qualified teachers and Early Years Practitioners, in a small and homely environment, we aim to create a home from home nursery.
The inside track from a current parent
I chose Butterfly, as I loved the fact it was smaller, with smaller classes and a really warm ‘village nursery’ feel to it. Like a little haven in the middle of London. It stood out to me from the other nurseries that could feel quite generic and lacking personality.
My daughter Lily-Belle learnt great manners while there, and the traffic light system of her actions, alongside the expected learning. She loved the variety of classes on offer, from music, to Forest School, and was clearly very happy there.
I thought all the teachers were great, and it was very clear that my daughter respected them all too, which is important when getting a three year old to listen to instructions!
As parents we love...
- It feels quite boutique and bespoke. I felt like my daughter had a very special time at the school.
- The teachers were fab. We were very fond of them all. Before Covid we were all very involved in doing readings in the school and being as involved as possible.
- How happy it made my daughter, who very clearly loved being there!

- A lovely mix of children who attended, who became great friends of hers.
