Explore West Wittering beach with its soft white sand dunes to play hide and seek and long coastal walks …. but the fun does not have to end there. Water sports kit can be hired locally and for anyone new to the water, coaching in windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, or SUP is available from 2XS on West Wittering beach!

If you prefer to stay on dry land, The National Trust’s East Head at the end of West Wittering beach is a gorgeous place to walk and enjoy the wildlife in the sand dunes. Your furry friends are welcome to join you too with the beaches being extremely popular for dog walkers throughout the year! 

East Wittering is a vibrant village where you will find a range of trendy shops and restaurants.  If it is surf vibes you’re looking for, then you’ll love this part of the Witterings. The cafés are bursting with style – whether it is a casual coffee stop or a hearty meal you’re after, you will be spoilt for choice.

We love all the restaurants in the village, but our favourite has to be Drifters – a family run restaurant set just back from the beach. Watch the world go by from the sofas made from reclaimed pallets on the front deck and spot the surfers coming back in after a day on the water. 

If it is local ales and craft beers you are after, then a visit to Dell Quay is a must! Situated on the water’s edge, The Crown & Anchor enjoys spectacular views across Chichester Harbour and it is not hard to see why this pub is loved by many. For fine weather days, we recommend their “Crab & Burger” shack out front and if you’re visiting for a special occasion, you need to book their “Lower Deck” – a unique exclusive waterside dining room available for private hire.
