As the pandemic creates uncertainty about how the next academic year will look, many prospective students are questioning whether it is worth going to uni or not.

The speakers joining her will be Chris Milward, director for fair access and participation at the Office for Students, and Dr Charlie Ball, Head of Higher Education Intelligence at Prospects, the website for graduate jobs, postgraduate study, advice about work experience, internship opportunities and graduate careers.

After months of waiting the big day arrives: when your A-levels land and you can finally decide which university or college place to take up. But, thanks to the pandemic, A Level Results day (Thursday 13 August) is going to be a very different one indeed.
This year you are getting assessed grades you haven’t sat exams for, so what happens if you are not happy with them? Can you appeal? Should you wait and take your exams in October? Or, should you move on and join your second-choice university in September?
