Spring has officially sprung! Easter is right around the corner now and for those looking for some Easter fun, a family day at Newbury Racecourse enjoying the long-awaited return of the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials will do just the trick! Set to fall on Easter Weekend (16th and 17th April) they have a host of activities going on that will entertain the whole family.

This is the first time in two years that there are crowds returning to the paddock for the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials, so you can bet that Newbury Racecourse will be welcoming the flat season back with a bang! The Spring Trials represent one of the first opportunities to watch early group races, with past winners including the likes of Kingman and Frankel.

Aside from the mane event, what fun things can you do?

On Saturday 16th, racegoers can expect a thrilling day of racing action as well as many opportunities for them to expand their horse-racing knowledge. These family-friendly activities include meeting the star jockeys, experiencing a ride on an equisiser, having a go on horse hoppers and, if that is not enough, the opportunity to meet a retired racehorse! It is also a chance to learn about ownership and how you can be an owner, including the option to experience some virtual reality of the track! There’s really something for everyone.

All of this racing action is to be followed by the excitement of the Family Fun Day on Sunday 17th, where the top quality racing action continues and you’ll be joined by the Easter Bunny and their very own Harry the Horse. Treat the family to a fantastic day at the races for Easter Sunday, with free activities for all including face painting, easter crafts, a petting zoo, storytelling and much more. You may return home with heavier pockets (from all the chocolate easter eggs you’ll win from the Wheel of Fortune, of course)!
