The inside track from a current parent

At Brambletye we give our pupils the time and space to explore their abilities, ask questions, develop their interests and their friendships. The children leave Brambletye as confident, happy and well-adjusted young people who work hard, have a love of learning, enjoy drama, games and music and play a part in some of the many societies and hobbies. They are in possession of a solid foundation on which they can build as they progress through the rest of their education.

A Brambletye education is focused on the individual. We encourage every child to find the area or subject in which they can excel, building their confidence and self-esteem. Much further down the line, we will prepare your child for their chosen senior school. We aim to inspire an understanding of the wisdom of the past and the technology of tomorrow’s world and to strive to foster a strong and independent work ethic.

As parents we love...

  • The incredible buildings, location and grounds.
  • The wonderfully supportive and nurturing team of teachers and support staff.
  • The blend of traditional and contemporary values…all brought together within a genuine sense of purpose and vision. These qualities combine to make Brambletye very special.

As pupils we love...

  • A quote from my son: “I have amazing friends. Everyone is so kind.
  • The teachers are incredible! But best of all I feel really happy.”
  • I love all the things I get to do … sport, music, art

What makes us different

In 2018, pupils won 16 scholarships to senior schools. Maths is a highlight with pupils winning certificates in UK & European competitions.

Young artists were awarded a place among the top 50 best artists at the  Saatchi Love Art competition and  3rd prize in the I Art International competition.

1st rugby, 1st Netball U12 Rugby and U8 Netball teams are unbeaten and the U8As have won all their football and rugby fixtures.

Highlights include the fabulous play productions, musicals, the house shout and whole school concerts – children learn to feel confident on the stage at Brambletye.

Unique events such as  4×4 obstacle course challenge and a Barking Mad Dog show raise money for the school’s chosen charity – over £54,000 was raised last year.

Creative ideas for clubs and projects abound – the children have made an indoor hovercraft, the space club launched a space balloon, and a cabbage has been catapulted across the games fields with a homemade trebuchet.

In celebration of the school’s Centenary year, a successful fundraising campaign has enabled the construction of a new artificial pitch, a new library and a new art centre.
