Hemel Hempstead’s The Snow Centre is the closest indoor slope to London and runs lessons and camps for all ages and abilities, plus Thursday and Friday evenings throughout the winter they have a fantastic freestyle park for skiers and snowboarders from beginner upwards

Sandown Sports the Guildford Ski Slope and Aldershot Snowports are all within spitting distance of the capital and offer classes and clubs in both skiing and snowboarding, plus doughnutting if you’re just after some fun!

Further afield the best slopes include Norfolk Snowsports , Alpine Snowsports Southampton and Gloucester Ski and Snowboard Centre, all with multiple slopes and a full programmes of lessons
