Following the Prime Minister’s unveiling of the path out of lockdown this week and with the hope of significant easing by June, we at Original Travel are (cautiously) confident that we will be travelling again this summer.

Money Safety

Original Travel’s flexibility promise ensures financial safety with the following policies:

• For new bookings with any departure date made between now and the end of May 2021, while you still need to pay a small deposit at the time of booking, the due date of the final balance has been halved (now 30 days).
• Original Travel offers full flexibility to change your trip, up to 30 days prior to departure. You can change your destination and departure date (up until the end of 2021) with no additional charges.
• For all bookings where the trip cannot go ahead due to changes in travel restrictions – we can either postpone your trip at no charge, to any departure date up until the end of 2021, offer credit for future departures or offer a full refund.

Insurance Safety

Original Travel is partnered with an insurer who offer a travel insurance policy covering cancellation or curtailment of a trip, to countries where there is no FCDO advice against all but essential travel due to contracting coronavirus, or through being quarantined or refused permission to travel due to infection or suspected infection.

Airport Safety

Travelling through airports may come with longer queues due to social distancing measures and temperature checks. But thankfully, Original Travel’s airport services are here to help families navigate airports with considerably less stress.

Luggage Service
We have partnered with Airportr to offer families the option of having their luggage collected from home and checked in. The whole clan can make their own way to the airport luggage-free, avoid check-in or bag drop queues and go straight to meet a personal greeter.

Meet & Greet
Guests are met before checking in by a personal greeter. With the airport landscape likely to change regularly as health and safety restrictions ramp up, having someone who knows the airport inside and out will be incredibly valuable.

Fast Track Check in & Security
The greeter will find the best check-in desk to speed through the process, before escorting you all through the fastest security lane.

Airport Lounge
As part of your Original Travel booking you have access to a deluxe lounge where the whole family can relax, eat and drink in peace and privacy before the flight, even if you’re flying in economy class.

Following a year of travel being largely grounded, it has been hard to ignore the positive impacts that this has had on our global environment. We are finding that travellers are increasingly keen to ensure that they are not negatively impacting the environment of the destinations that they are visiting.
