New Year – New Ideas! Interiors expert Bee Osborn shows us how

Looking for interiors inspiration for 2021 – then look no further.

Bee Osborn shares her new ideas for the new year.

Kitchens – changing hardware, counter tops or adding a butchers block or new paint colour for a change.

Outdoor kitchen – these are very popular at the moment, winter or summer, to shake up and expand how we cook.  Consider a BBQ for winter outdoor cooking for a change of scene.

Bathrooms – even more than ever are our sanctuary, a place for self care to reclaim or rest.  Try adding a bath caddy tray, a great spot for a book or glass of wine.

Add colour – for an uplifting splash of colour, add a throw or cushion in this 2021’s Pantone colour of the year. PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is one of strength and positivity. It’s a bright and cheerful yellow sparkling with vivacity, a warming yellow shade imbued with solar power.

Add textured finishes – concrete is on the rise, and so are textured wall coverings.  Try one out on a signature wall for added texture or warmth.

Fill your house with your favourite scents – making your home smell lovely with scented candles and beautiful reed diffusers makes a space feel instantly more homely.

Add flowers – greenery and fresh flowers are proven to make a home feel happier and more relaxing. Another lovely idea is growing bulbs, for example paperwhite narcissus or hyacinths, which not only add greenery to your space but also a fresh scent.

Rearrange furniture – moving furniture around in a space is a great way to refresh the look of a room, you may find a better more functional layout by just switching around a few pieces of furniture.

Change up your soft furnishings – investing in a new rug to complete the look of a room or changing up your cushions and throws is a simple and perfect way of freshening things up.
